The Lumenis® IPL Hair Removal treatment
This treatment is a safe, non-invasive treatment that reduces hair growth, resulting in smooth, beautiful skin. IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology targets the hair follicles, and impairs their ability to grow hair.
IPL hair removal is effective on black, brown and red hair. This system is not suited to blonde or very fair hair or on skin types 5 & 6.
Patients should be aware that no laser or IPL system provides permanent hair removal for 100% of hair. Results are usually long lasting (years) and may occasionally need top ups after an initial course. Many factors affect hair growth and for these reasons, hair can often come back, although it is usually always thinner and much more sparse.
We offer a standard course of 6 hair removal sessions and some patients require more, after an initial course top-up or one off sessions can be purchased to maintain results.
